An 11-year-old boy of dual British and Belgian nationality was among the 22 children killed in a bus crash in Switzerland this week, British officials said on Friday.

The boy, Sebastian Bowles, attended the Sint-Lambertus school in the central Belgian town of Heverlee after his family moved to Belgium from London two years ago.

His father, Edward, moved his family from the British capital to be near the family of his Belgian wife, Ann, and "for quality of life," a British official told AFP.

The parents had flown to Switzerland on Thursday to identify their son's body after he, 21 other children and six adults were killed when their bus crashed into a Swiss tunnel wall on their way back to Belgium from a ski trip.
