FC Basel were crowned champions of Switzerland for the 15th time on Sunday after a 3-1 defeat of Lausanne which left the club with an 18-point lead over nearest rival Lucerne with five matches to go.
Two goals from Alexander Frei and a stoppage time strike from Jacques Zoua finally sealed the title for a Basel side that has dominated the league.
