If your Swiss lover has just called you a beetle or a mouse don’t panic. In German-speaking areas of Switzerland chäferli and müsli are in fact terms of endearment.

While in Anglo countries we tend to opt for more conventional nicknames like “honey” or "darling", in German-speaking areas of Switzerland the names tend to be more inventive.
