John headlines an eclectic mix of musicians at the summer festival at Nyon in the canton of Vaud running from July 22nd to 27th.

Other British acts include singer-songwriter James Blunt and The Prodigy, while American rock groups 30 Seconds to Mars and The Black Keys are also in the lineup for the 39th festival, along with Belgian hip hop star Stromae.

John, who turned 67 last week, is slated to appear on July 24th at the Paléo festival.

Currently performing for most of this month at Caesar’s Palace in Los Vegas, the piano-playing singer is also scheduled to play elsewhere in Switzerland this summer at St. Gallen (on June 24th).

The star this week announced a low-key wedding in May with his partner, filmmaker David Furnish after a change in British law to allow same-sex marriages.

He is making the Swiss appearances as part of a European tour starting in June and running to December.

Tickets go on sale for the Paléo festival on Wednesday.
