The robbers used the forklift vehicle to smash through brick walls, partitions and ceilings of the company and a neighbouring business located in an industrial estate, according to Jura cantonal police.

Despite the bruising manner of the break-in on Wednesday night, the thieves stole a “minimal” amount of goods, said police.

However the huge amount of damage cause could run into several hundred thousand francs.

Police have opened an investigation into the case and are asking anyone with relevant information to get in touch on 032 420 65 65.
