Verdasco victory sends Wawrinka to fourth round

Switzerland's Stan Wawrinka reached the fourth round of the Wimbledon tennis tournament on Friday with a 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 win over Spain's Fernando Verdasco.

Fourth seed Wawrinka, this year's French Open champion, will take on Belgium's David Goffin, seeded 16th, for a place in the quarterfinals.

In other matches, Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov lost 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 to France's 21st seed Richard Gasquet.

Gasquet will square off  against 20-year-old Nick Kyrgios for another place in the quarterfinals after the young Australian beat Canadian seventh seed Milos Raonic in four sets 5-7, 7-5, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3.
