The incident occurred shortly before 10pm at the Metropol Hotel when the 3.5-metre-long walkway linking the reception area with the terrace of an adjacent building gave way, Graubünden cantonal police said in a statement.
Five people on the walkway fell onto a concrete staircase. One person was seriously injured and was flown by a Rega emergency services helicopter to hospital, the statement said.
Three others suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance, police said.
Investigators believe the cause of the accident may have been rotten wood beams.
A reader told the 20 Minuten newspaper that several people were injured by the fall of debris after what sounded like a "loud bang".
A massive contingent of police and fire fighters also arrived at the scene, according to the report.
Offering panoramic mountain views, the three-star Metropol in the canton of Graubünden is described by several websites as one of the best known kosher hotels in Switzerland.
