Events allowed

Rallies and events for up to 1,000 people will be allowed from June 22nd, on condition of guaranteeing the tracing of contacts.

On the same day, the safety distance will be reduced from two to 1.5 meters.

Wearing a mask will be recommended on public transport, but it will become compulsory during large events.

Curfew lifted for restaurants and nightclubs

The rules for restaurants are also being lifted. The current midnight deadline will no longer be in effect. Additionally, there will no longer be any obligation to be seated.

End to home-working

The government is also dropping the recommendation to work from home. It will be up to employers to decide where their staff should work.

The recommendation to work at home is withdrawn, as are the instructions for the protection of vulnerable persons. They can therefore also return to their place of employment, the Federal Council said.

Employers are, however, obliged to take the necessary measures to protect the health of their employees, in accordance with the Labour Law.
