Nespresso to open new Swiss factory
Coffee capsule company Nespresso said on Thursday it intends to open a new factory in western Switzerland costing 300 million francs ($329 million) to meet growing global demand.
Nespresso, a subsidiary of Swiss food giant Nestle, said work on the production centre -- its third -- would start in late 2012 and wrap up by mid-2015.
The company said the factory in the town of Romont would create 400 jobs.
Nespresso registered sales of more than three billion francs last year, a 20-percent increase.
