Swiss international defender Reto Ziegler was loaned out to disgraced Turkish club Fenerbahce on Saturday from Serie A side Juventus for one season.

Fenerbahce, who were stripped of the title and their place in the Champions League over a matchfixing scandal, issued a statement to the Turkish Stock Exchange saying they had paid Juventus €600,000 and would pay 25-year-old Ziegler €2 million.

Ziegler has only been at Juventus since May when he signed a four year contract with Juventus after ending a successful three year spell at Sampdoria - scoring six goals in 108 matches - when they were relegated.
