Neuchâtel cantonal police called off a search for two teenaged girls who went missing from Le Locle, near the French border, last weekend.

The 16- and 17-year-olds were back at their home on Thursday, police said.

The two girls were seen recently in Marseille, in the south of France, 20 Minutes reported online.

The newspaper earlier reported that, according to its sources, the girls were bored and wanted to get away from their home town, known as a watchmaking centre.

The newspaper said the pair were in good health.
