Finally! Switzerland set for hot summer weather

Switzerland can expect clear skies and temperatures around the 30C mark in the coming days – a welcome break after a wild and woolly start to the summer.
The sun is already making its presence felt in much of Switzerland on Tuesday, although the forecast maximums of around 20C mean it is still on the cool side.
However, that is set to change from Wednesday on, with summer making a sudden arrival. Temperatures for the second half of the week are set to hover around the 30C mark, with plenty of sun expected too.

Thursday should be the best day, with Friday still hot, but showery.
Unfortunately, the weekend isn’t looking quite as idyllic with showers forecast for the Romandie and Wallis while there’s a chance of storms in the rest of the country.
The sunny weather over the next few days will come as a welcome relief after a very wet beginning to June.
The tweet below shows an impressive amount of water at the Rhine Falls in eastern Switzerland.
