Weather: ‘All of Switzerland’ at risk of 'violent' thunderstorms from Tuesday evening

Switzerland’s SRF weather service on Tuesday warned of imminent thunderstorms and hail that were set to sweep across Switzerland.

High winds have also been predicted, particularly for the Alps. 

While weather across Switzerland took a turn for the worse early on Tuesday, including rain, predictions are that the inclement weather will increase into the evening and on Wednesday. 

Despite the rain, the temperatures are expected to stay ‘summery warm’, with a significant degree of humidity.
