Swiss lovers are the happiest on the continent – at least according to a new study produced by the European Statistical Office Eurostat.
The findings were based on self-reporting, with participants asked to give their relationship a score out of ten.
Switzerland’s 8.6 was the highest anywhere in Europe – and was above the continental average of 8.
Ireland, Malta, Slovenia and Austria also rated highly.
The lowest rating in Europe? Bulgaria, with 6.6, is the only country in the list to rate its relationships below 7.
Lovers in Turkey, Greece and Serbia also don’t have the best reviews for their relationships, giving grades between 7 and 7.4.
