Edward Snowden, the American fugitive accused by US authorities of violating espionage laws, has sought asylum in Switzerland, among other countries, but his chances of being admitted are slim. And what he has reportedly said about the Alpine country may not exactly boost his chances.
He may pine for the Swiss Alps now, but when he was posted to Geneva as a CIA agent back in 2007 he reportedly trashed the Swiss on a chat site run by Arstechnica.com.
Switzerland could hardly be blamed if it doesn’t welcome him with open arms.
